Position Goals:

  1. Create a balanced and accurate budget as a reference tool for future years, to ensure the financial sustainability of CAPSI.
  2. Facilitate effective communication between Council members and Finance Committee in order to meet to the financial needs of the association.
  3. Work closely alongside our accounting firm to establish a good working relationship.

Career Goals:

Once graduated I would like to complete a hospital residency in order to expand my clinical knowledge and experience and practice as a hospital pharmacist back home in Montreal. I’ve also always had an interest in business and would like to open up my own independent community pharmacy at some point in the future.

Duties for Finance Officer

  • Deposit and carry out all the banking activities for CAPSI National.
  • To formulate a budget for the year, based on last year’s resources and expenditures.
  • To maintain accurate records of all transactions involving CAPSI National.
  • To promptly reimburse all General Council members upon receiving receipts.
  • Chair the Finance Committee. To maintain close contact with the current PDW Committee about Finance affairs.
  • Select an auditor for year-end financial reviews.
  • To prepare and submit the books to be audited at year’s end.
  • To prepare regular statements regarding CAPSI National’s finance position to be distributed to all General Council members.
  • To present mid-year and final year reports at PDW and CPhA conferences.
  • Participate as an active member of the Executive Council, offering feedback and input on any issues and discussions that arise.
  • Advise and inform the General and Executive Council in financial matters concerning the association.
